the SIMCOE gets knit

the SIMCOE was knit mostly by accident today, after using a stashed ball of really pretty hand spun merino that i attempted to knit into a shrug pattern i'm making up...
& i just wasn't anywhere close to having enough, so after ripping apart half a shrug, & instead i've finally knit up my own version of a headband turban, that i've been craving since saving the above image on my computer. (please let me know if you know the image source, so i can give credit, i'm sure it is from a street style blog)
in any case, i now have a pattern made for what i've named after another small southern ontario city, the SIMCOE headband turban...
i don't think this will be in the shop anytime soon, maybe not even until fall, but you can count on this being made from some other amazing merino hand spuns, as i'm obsessed with stocking the shop this fall with things of that sort... once you go handspun you never go back,i suspect...

  1. Yup, once you go handspun, you never wanna go back! I love the turban and the yarn you chose! I knit myself a whole hat-turban...I wasn't sure if people would like them so I haven't made them for my shop yet...but I think I should! 2010 TURBAN TIME!
