toronto's archive

CNE midway performers

i could pour over torontos' archive on flickr  for ages, i came to find out about this mass of wonderful photographic history of toronto through a favorite feature of looking back at Toronto & it's past on the blogTO, some of my favorite posts include what sunnyside looked like before the Gardiner arrived what horsetracks used to look like in toronto (ive been dragged along to a few horsetracks as a child, so this was interesting to me), what beaches used to look like in toronto, nostalgia tripping: toronto's chinatown, nostalgia tripping: toronto's morality police, toronto of the 1920s. (ok clearly there is too many to mention, the archives have over 600 photos).
