sneak peeks: samples of colours on colours

recently i received in the mail, which got stuck at customs forever, my package of samples i had sent along to ofakind, in the beginning. (& in the end i was thrilled they picekd the wawa version too). i had been asked to make something similar & unique to my lambton cowls, i had many ideas of some really special limited pieces, here is 2 of the samples,  that i might just carry in the shop instead now, because i still love them so mcuh. what do you think? please don't hesitate to ask me about these sample pieces for yourself! (here is a sneak w/out the overlay.)

i really fell for the argentina wool from a women's collective (whcih is also what was used for the ofakind wawa cowl) , i knit up one of the samples in natural (which i have in the shop now & is defintiely one of my own favorites & is pictured above) & i dip dyed it in a colour i never tire of, a blushed out burnt orange (remember the meaford cowl dip dyed & the welland sweater dipped dyed). it really is perfect around the edges of that thick & thin spun chunky cowl & looks twice as nice when it is all wrapped around the neck a couple times.

of course, the extra chunky lambton cowl of merino wool from peru was the original inspiration for the ofakind smaples & i was ecited to do a version in thsi amzingly soft & chunky wool in two colours held togetehr for varying colour patterns & a real staple pairing  in black & natural. please check out the original extra-chunky lambton in the shop that is on sale right now for a short time, & pictured above in natural. (here is a sneak of the cowl w/out the overlay)

**edited to add this overlay of the markham collar (because they are so addicting to make, the markham cowl & here is w/out the overlay on the needles still)**
