this & that, winter hangs on...

living with jason, nothing i wear is ever too much, more likely the opposite, so i feel a tad over done, its too much, but i'm convinced no?! jason is forever insisting i just wear what i'm wearing, i never take long to get ready or just grab something from the closet, its the afterthought & the doubt, & indecision & lack of self-confidence, errr...for instance, jsut before we left the house, i changed into grey woolshorts & black oxfords boots instead...

why not? i see no harm in enid dying her hair tips teal, its sweet, her favorite colour & i could see the confidence in her light up instantly! indulgent? perhaps, but not he bad kind, so who cares... everyone should be encouraged to express themselves...

the shoes are lie, i couldn't leave the house to venture into slushy snow slopes in these, but i wish...
the blouse is a favorite with a ruffle detail collar, thrifted from a favorite vintage shop in toronto in the summer, the hair is wet, & dry & brittle all at once!

the doll is from pinpals!

  3. I love Enid's hair. My mom let me dye my hair hot pink when I was younger and it made me feel so good because she was supportive of however I wanted to look.

  8. aww it is just dress up for a little girl. I think dying the tips a bright colour is different to getting highlights.

  10. I love Enid's hair! I was actually thinking of doing the same thing to my own hair! And I know what you mean about indecision about outfits. I always seem to manage to change my mind at the last minute and then it's a mad rush out the door because I'm so late!

  12. Hey, thought i would identify myself as a reader of your blog. i love your style and your knitting inspires me (i finally learned the pearl stitch after first finding your blog)! it's funny, before reading this post, i had just written a song about the very subject of feeling confident about something, but then doubting it later on....my guy does the same thing to me with my outfits, but i usually have to change before going out of the house...
