fall back

i promise i'm not  trying to rush fall on in any way, i'm missing summer already & it still is summer, despite the rain & chilliness lately!? this time last year, i also had the same over-whelming fall shop anxieties plaguing, i'd just re-opened the yarnovermovement shop after a complete overhaul, a very inspired background (aka pretty wallpaper) & a real model (my gorgeous & out of this world friend katie).
this time around, i feel i have even more in my shop, not only in the way of a new  boy model & cute friend jeffrey, ( coming soon a surprise guest model will be making an appearance w/ more new knit designs).
also, i'm completely thrilled with all these new fine wools, this is something i wanted so badly in the shop, & i finally settled on some locally hand dyed & hand spun merino wool that was custom colored in limited dye lots, each skein of wool is truly one of a kind, that allowed me to knit more delicate very ballerina inspired clothing pieces, which i'd never had the pleasure of before, like the pembroke, bancroft, & orillia, all very limited.
of course, i'm still loving to knit chunky too, & i also grabbed some alpaca ultra-soft fair trade wool, for items like the markham loop collar in fawn & the cambridge cowl in grey wolf, (& still hand knit in the original lamb's blended wool too!)
i'm so proud  of my new pieces, like the belleville shawl, something i'm looking forward to wearing myself, & i hope others will too. its always unpredictable & completely frightening, but i have to say i do love everything (& i have more to share soon), & this time around i'm prepared with everything ready made + ready to ship, & a shop full of inventory to start things off right.
sorry for the run on, this was meant to be short...more knits coming very soon, & a special shoot too!
really looking forward to girls in my knits (& boys i hope this time around) in all this new.
it feels like its make it or break it this fall lovelies...eeeks, in a good way... wish me luck.

  1. (This is the 3rd time I have tried to post a comment and must have forgotten to complete process the other two times!)
Anyway, I am so inspired by your hard work and envious of your having a male model!
