who knew that knitting w/ others & getting opportunities to teach others this creative skill could make me feel so validated & offer that rarity of making new friends too?! although, it has been a little while now since alyssa came for a visit, i still wanted to share these photos from our knitting date, in a long over due post. (sorry, i've been so busy w/ spring & pre-fall designing/knitting & to be honest this unending winter hasn't helped me feel like it). Alyssa left w/ this sample of a pom pom toque design i was tweaking you may remember i have been working on, & shared on instagram asking for feedback, well w/ her enthusiasm for a toque i let her have a test run of it. i loved thsi toques * anythign w/ bobbles really, i've gone forward w/ a pattern for this chunky version (similar to the elora toques & knit w/ the same gorgeous fair trade wool from peru). as well as a more modest version of a pattern (which is similar to the petawawa toque, using the same hand dyed & hand spun fair trade wool from Uruguay).
